The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) just released a resource tool kit to guide healthcare organizations as select Medicare waivers and flexibilities are ending as the tempo of the current Public Health Emergency has reduced the need. Additionally, CMS is providing information on what health care facilities and providers can do to prepare for future events with a focus on emergency preparedness as a result from lessons learned during COVID-19. Healthcare leaders should review the current list of waivers and flexibilities frequently for any changes.
