The updated State Operations Manual (SOM) Appendix A (Hospitals) was released 9.5.25. Although the Conditions of Participation (COP) have not changed, this reference now includes updated interpretive guidelines for select COPs and inclusion of guidelines that had been previously removed. It’s important that you review the updated SOM for prescriptive guidelines on expectations of compliance with the COPs.
