Assessing Infection Control Risk is an essential process in healthcare organizations. Periodically, due to changes in other aspects of healthcare operations the manner in which we assess risk must be modified. To help organizations, ASHE ( American Society of Healthcare Engineers) recently convened a multidisciplinary team to review and revise the ASHE ICRA Tool. Titled Infection Control Risk Assessment 2.0 the document contains important modifications. To further assist organizations, they revised the associated permit tool as well.
