Leaders use qualitative data collection methods to involve patients in performance improvement activities.
Note: Qualitative data collection methods are used to provide insight into patient’s opinions, along with underlying reasons, and motivations.
Examples of qualitative methods include focus groups, telephonic or in-person patient interviews or patient rounding, and patient participation on performance improvement committees.
Please share this with leaders and leadership teams as the survey process this year will focus on how the organization USES data to make decisions and whether that data includes qualitative methods mentioned above.
Data is an important factor in improving patient outcomes and leaders are responsible for this area.
