EC/Physical Environment Implementation Essentials
When healthcare staff are not aware of their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a safe environment, common safety issues may be overlooked placing themselves and patients at risk. The Environment of Care within a Hospital organization must be planned and managed based on the services that will be provided across the continuum of care. Once services are identified, management plans for the Environment of Care must be assessed for risk, plans developed, plans implemented and then activities monitored for ongoing safety.
Enroll in this course to learn successful approaches for planning, implementation, and performance improvement to exceed CMS and TJC hospital requirements for the physical environment, and to enhance patient safety and survey success.
