Community Involvement

Courtemanche & Associates believes strongly in contributing toward the building of healthy communities.  We support healthcare, education and the arts to fulfill this mission.  In addition to our philanthropic work, our staff has also received honors for their outstanding service to the field.

Judy Courtemanche was recently recognized by Charlotte Business Leader Magazine as a "2008 Woman Extraordinaire."  She was selected based on being a woman of outstanding accomplishment: "She is a leader, innovator, problem-solver, and inspiration.  She is a mentor to others.  She serves the community by making a difference.  She is a nurturer of family and friends.  She is held in high regard by those in her circle."

C&A supports causes in healthcare and education that further the support of people in the field – patients, providers, and future healthcare professionals.  Recently, C&A sponsored the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s 20th annual Great Gatsby Gala in Charlotte, NC.  C&A also awarded three annual Healthcare Education College Scholarships to three deserving students: Ricquell Cooper, Jessica McLean, and Mark Piepoli. Additionally, three C&A employees joined St. Nick and his elves at the Charlotte Junior Chamber’s “Santa Walk,” delivering Christmas presents to patients and families at the Hemby Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, NC.

C&A also supports the arts as a vehicle for individual expression and social change.  C&A has provided support to ArtWorks!, Partners for the Arts and Community in Massachusetts, and has commissioned extensive artwork from New York artist Kerrie Bellisario.  In addition, C&A hosted an art gala to reveal Bellisario’s body of work, Synergy, at the Green Rice Gallery in Charlotte, NC, and to raise funds for the NoDa School of Arts.

In addition to our philanthropic work, our staff continues to receive accolades for their excellent work in the community. Nancy McLean, a C&A Consultant, was honored with a Congressional Certificate in 2007 for her role as mentor on Women’s and Girls’ Health Mentorship Day at Schneider Regional Medical Center in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
