Sharon Dills

MSN, RN

Sharon Dills currently serves as an Associate Consultant with Courtemanche and Associates. As a consultant and educator on Joint Commission (TJC) and regulatory compliance matters, Ms. Dills assists clients with Ongoing Accreditation Readiness and Priority Focus processes, providing on-site system evaluations, consultations, education, and training. As an educator in healthcare, Sharon has implemented solutions to improve patient care and regulatory outcomes. For example, she developed a system-wide tracer team and educated the participants, created numerous regulatory forms/audits to ensure and monitor compliance, and served as Chair for patient-related research projects. She is an experienced regulatory evaluator, Magnet Nursing advisor and recently received certification as a Six Sigma Green Belt.

Prior to joining the Courtemanche team, Ms. Dills held positions in various healthcare facilities as Accreditation Coordinator, Associate Vice President of Nursing/Magnet Director, Clinical Nurse Specialist in Research, Nurse Recruiter, and Youth Services Program Director. Ms. Dills’ clinical background and expertise includes neonatal intensive care nursing, behavioral health, pediatrics, intensive care, orthopedics, medical-surgical, public health, Institutional Review Board, and regulatory compliance. Additionally in these roles, Ms. Dills provided analytical support and reporting of nursing sensitive indicators, and served as a resource for staff and leaders in identifying and facilitating organizational change.

In 2006, Sharon was recognized as one of the Great 100 Nurses in North Carolina. She has been a member of Sigma Theta Tau International since 2003, and serves many professional organizations including, American Organization of Nurse Executives, North Carolina Organization for Nurse Leaders, Society for Healthcare Accreditation and Regulatory Professionals, American Nurses Association and Southern Nursing Research Society.

Ms. Dills received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill and her Masters of Science in Nursing from East Tennessee State University.
